Yes, the majority contain dairy but we have a vegan coconut flavour which doesn't.
I asked in-store a week or so ago and was told the ice cream (besides the coconut vegan flavour) and cones are not vegan. I don't remember if it was egg, but I know they said the cone isn't vegan.
Not really. But you could Google charcoal ice cream in Florida. Charcoal has become quit popular thing. Might be able to find something but different brand.
It's open from 1-8
They all taste the same to me though 🙁🙁🙁
This has changed. They now sell ice cream in pre-packaged tubs.
None of our flavours or cones contain nuts and our staff are prohibited from brining nuts into the workspace. Although we strive to maintain a nut-free environment and do not use nuts in our products we cannot guarantee that the ingredients provided by our suppliers have not come in contact with nuts or other allergens.
Yes, we sell our ice cream in takeaway pints.
Icecream here is wonderful. An experience not to be missed if you are in the area.
Fancy soft serve but pretty fun.
I love this place been going since they first opened up! Ube is the best so good!!!
Good for pictures, but not worth the price. The ice cream tasted watered down and lacked flavour and you don’t get much for the amount you pay. Kind of disappointing, we went late and the people serving us were probably tired but they could have been a little nicer. It was good to try, but not to buy again.
Best ice cream in town, very tasty and really good atmosphere, I will definitely go back again try other favorite.
delicious! they even have a coconut matcha vegan version
Their ice cream tasted so good! Bits of crumbled cake was integrated within the ice cream so every bite is awesome. I tried only the matcha and ube because I'm not a big fan of coconut which is mixed with the charcoal. I liked the cones as well. At the end of the cone, marshmellow is used to keep the ice cream from spilling from the bottom. I would def try them again!
Small but nice place for a special ice cream.Of course, it’s tasty but bit pricy. There’s always huge line up so i waited for over 20minutes just for a corn.
It’s a must try place. Tried their signature UbeNut. It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Price is ok. Not gonna vouch for other options but if you go there, try the UbeNut
Great combination of flavours and an appealing presentation. Will definitely go back.
The cones are devine and the icecream is good but there is alot of colorant in it, so much so that you see it in your poop. The first time I went the server was not at all hospitable and the second time the server did not wash his hands before preparing the icecream and he did touch the cone.
Found this place on BlogTO and gave it a try since it’s near my place. One of the best and most unique soft serve in Toronto with their charcoal cones and ice cream. You can get either a cone ($6.50) or a cup ($6). We all got cones since it’s their signature. “Black on Black” for my sis, “Une Nut” for my hubby and I got the “Meet Your Matcha”. My matcha is quite too sweet for me but it’s still good. The other two are perfect. Your teeth and lips will turn black after. 👀P.s: I couldn’t wait so I took a bite before taking a proper picture 🤣.
If you're in need of a pick-me-up, I recommend you grab yourself the 'ALL IN' flavour twist + combo. It's a combination of all 4 flavours - Ubenut stacked on Matchabean, you won't regret it, at least I didn't..... you're welcome :)
Very interesting ice cream place. I have never had black ice cream with a black ice cream cone it was very unique and tasted amazing!!! Where else could you get vanilla ice cream from Madagascar and coconut charcoal icecream.
Do you want one of the best ice creams in the city? This is the right place for it! Get the ube one or try the vegan matcha! Every flavor is delicious and the employees are so friendly!
Delicious & dramatic looking soft icecream served in cup or in charcoal black cone. The charcoal cone is very fresh & crispy. A dab of soft marshmallow fluff at the bottom of the cone keeps the melted icecream from running out the bottom. Genius. Five different flavours to chose from or can mix / match, which is the way to go.
Best place for charcoal ice cream! Definitely worth the visit if you’re downtown! I recommend the ube/charcoal mix!! Charcoal ice cream tastes like coconut/vanilla and it’s really good with the ube (taro)!
Yums ice cream with great flavour choices. The ube nut was much better than I expected and will be going back for the other flavours very soon.
Delicious. It's January 2019 and I'm wearing Google hoodie and eating ice cream.
Just another popular place for social media posts. The ice cream looks better but tastes so-so.
My family and I love coming to downtown Toronto after having lunch and going for desert at this place. The soft ice cream is so good and they have a great selection of flavours that you can select from. Worth going to check this out if your ever looking to taste something different.
Reminded me of this ice cream I tried in Europe years ago and I have been searching for something similar ever since. This IS THE spot!
Fantastic ice cream. Worth the visit.
The ice cream is delicious, the price is reasonable for what your are getting. I would highly recommend
Line up out the door and literally NO one serving. WTF
New concept, good icecream for instagram pictures, average taste, and bit pricy
Soft serve with a flavorful twist of unique flavors. Give it a try! It blows that 'sweet jesus' soft serve outta the water!
I love Ice cream🍦🤤 and if you Love Ice cream too so! Come to ¡Halo Krunch 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦
Not worth the hype. Sure, it's very instagrammable, but the icecream lacks flavour. If you're looking for matcha soft serve you're much better off getting one from tsujiri
Good ice cream and nice guys work there
Most of their flavours are good and the have vegan options for those avoiding dairy. Love the black charcoal cones.
Had their black/purple and green blend. It was good! And I'm not a desert person. The cone added some extra crunch and flavour! :) I'd reccomend. Not much seating though just a couple benches
Delicious ice cream, love the matcha in the charcoal cone
Loved the experience after months of quarantines!
Delicious ice cream! Went here for a quick date with my wife and we both really enjoyed the unique flavours. Great treat on a hot day :)
Really good! Love this ice cream! Very refreshing and very different flavours. The marshmallow fluff at the bottom of the cone is so great!
The stars are for the enticing colours only. The taste wasn’t worth the price. Watery soft serve and all the flavours lacked the taste. I wouldn’t repeat!
i will find the way that avoiding charcoal lips.. i always just go home right away.
Flavor was nice and just the right sweetness. Ube and coconut is the perfect combo for me. The softserve was more icy and watery and not as creamy as i expected. If they coated the waffle cones with some chocolate or cocoa butter, it wouldve held up a little better. By the time i got to the cone, it was very soggy.
Super refreshing for a hot sunny day. Recommend going swirl than 3 flavors to really get a good taste. And you really want to to try the Pandan - that is just something else! Swing by!
Second time going. Definitely lived up to the expectation.
Total disappointment. No detectable/distinguishable taste on either color swirl. Charcoal leaves a bad, long after'taste' on your tongue. Just cold, sweet stuff for eight (!) dollars a cone. Totally wasted money (and no, I am not Covid positiv!)
One of the best soft serves in Toronto. It’s a bit pricey at roughly $7 a cone but it’s worth it. They’ll even let you split this order into two cones. You NEED to try it. I came by during Summer 2017 because of the whole charcoal craze and this definitely lived up to this hype! @nomsoftoronto
Summer and ihalo go hand in hand. Actually not just in summer... good year round. I just ordered 2 pints on uber!
Hi! Wow, what a holiday treat! We tried the Orna-mint ice-cream over the holiday and it was such a nice sweet treat! The ice-cream looked so festive and resembled a Christmas Tree! We loved how creamy and flavourful the ice-cream was. You can definitely taste the mint, but it wasn't empowering. The only downside was the green ice-cream stained your lips, teeth and tongue, haha. It was well worth it, just a reminder not to eat this treat before an important event!! We will return to try the other flavours and we need to check out the shop located at Vaughan Mills next time.
Nothing special tbh, alot of the ice cream places serve the same type of stuff, tho i noticed their ice cream melts way to quick and has a very liquidy consistency so you have to finish it quick which kind of ruins the experience of enjoying your ice cream
Can't press it enough, a must-try ice cream shop on Queen St. Returned twice just to try out all their colours!
Loved the color explosion and the buttery taste
Delicious soft serve that's worth the wait! We tried the ube twist. Super flavourful, and the portion. Was giant. Creamy, smooth and tasty. I'm definitely a fan of the soft serve here! :)
What a blissful little detour, stopping in for a black ice cream cone here. They picked the perfect coconut flavour to trick your brain into thinking that it's got something to do with the colour, and they have the black cones to match, which is key.
